Care Guide: How to keep your Camale pieces looking impeccable for a long time.

At Camale , we are rigorous in choosing the pieces we use as a canvas for our creativity. We select 100% cotton clothing for its quality and comfort, then apply our illustrations using DTF printing technology.
To ensure that the garment we've chosen and customized for you stays like new, how you care for it is essential. Follow this guide to protect both the cotton and the design.
1. Washing: Protects the Fiber and Design
Cotton is a natural fiber that requires delicate handling, especially when customized.
- Always wash inside out: This is the golden rule to protect the DTF print from direct contact with other clothes and the washing machine drum.
- Temperature controlled: We recommend washing at a maximum of 30°C . Hot water is the main cause of cotton shrinkage and can compromise print adhesion.
-
Mild detergents: Avoid using bleach or whitening agents that may fade the colors of the illustration.
2. DTF Stamping Care
The DTF technology we use offers excellent definition, but to prevent cracking or loss of brightness:
- Forget the dryer: The extreme heat from a dryer is highly damaging to the printed film. Ideally, always air dry.
-
Drying in the shade: Direct and prolonged exposure to the sun can "burn" the colors of the design and dry out the fibers of the garment.
3. Ironing: Extra care needed
This is the step where you should pay the most attention so as not to damage the customization work.
- Do not iron over the design: The heat from the iron will instantly melt the DTF print.
- Always iron inside out: Keep the garment turned right side out and use the appropriate temperature for cotton.
-
Protective barrier: If you need to pass the design area from the front, you must place parchment paper or a thin cloth over it.
4. Smart Organization
- Avoid creases in the design: When folding your t-shirt or sweatshirt, try not to fold repeatedly over the middle of the print to avoid permanent marks.
Our commitment
We choose the finest cotton fabrics and apply the best printing techniques so that you have a unique and long-lasting piece. Taking care of it prolongs the life of a product made with dedication in Portugal.
